SANFORD – Just a day after Lee County High School was put on lockdown, the school is closed Wednesday due to another threat. All school activities are canceled for the day.
At 5:30 AM Wednesday morning, an automated phone call went to parents saying the school is closed due to an anonymous threat made against the school late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. The decision to close the school was made with the recommendation of the Sherriff’s office.
Wednesday is an optional workday for staff.
LCHS was on lockdown Tuesday afternoon for the last 90 minutes of the day because of a threat the school received. Wednesday’s threat is the fourth received by the school this school year.
