SANFORD – Due to the winter storm that hit Lee County Tuesday night, Lee County Schools will be on a remote learning day for the second day in a row Thursday.
Teachers should post assignments on Canvas for students to complete remotely. Students have five days to complete the assignments in order to be counted present for the day.
Sanford and Lee County saw about two inches of snow Tuesday night. It was the first measurable snowfall the area saw since 2022. Temperature are expected to rise above freezing during the day Thursday.
